The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up you can begin the Automatic Vacuum cleaning with a single button. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system, which prevents microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub floors better than a vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

As for the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves forward.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at alerting you when something requires attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you could want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its rotating mop pads remove tough stains and its motor creates lots of downward pressure. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features but they also place the L10s in the premium category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum and mop in one. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well and remove 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
