Fernando J. Acosta

Acosta is a senior executive leader at Avon. Acosta joined the company as Senior Vice President and Latin America President in 2011. He was recently appointed Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer. Charles Herington, the Company’s Executive Chairman, will be reporting directly to this position.

Before joining Avon He spent a few years working at Unilever. He has extensive experience in the development of consumer-focused businesses in emerging markets. He is also an investor and a member of the board at RoC Skincare New York.

He is the Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer at Avon. In addition, he has overseen the development of a brand new digital social selling approach.

Fernando Acosta began his career at Unilever as a management trainee. He has worked in Europe and the United Kingdom. Later, he held top-level positions within Unilever's Latin American operations.

From 1999 to 2004, he served as the Category President for Latin America at Unilever. His job included overseeing the company's most prominent brands like Dove. He was also involved in the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty that launched new products like Pro Age.

After his tenure as the senior vice president of Unilever's Middle Americas division, he was promoted to an international role. From 2006 to 2008 he was the Brand President of Dove Global at Unilever. At the time, he was based in New York.

Previously, he was a Regional President for Latin America at Avon. His duties included driving sales team leadership, developing the brand's Latin American strategy, and helping to develop innovative products such as Pro Age.

Avon has a rich background and a wide array of products to sift through however one area that has distinguished itself from the rest in recent years is its Health and Wellness division.
