Narwal Robot Vacuum and Mop

A relative newcomer to the world of robot vacuums, Narwal offers a sweeping and mopping hybrid that's pretty impressive. But it's also expensive and is hampered by a clunky application with a steep learning curve.

Features

The Narwal T10 is a combination robot vacuum and mop that is able to sweep, scrub, and clean hard floors. Its intelligent navigation and mapping system is built on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology. It also features anti-collision and cliff-sensing technology that help prevent the machine from crashing into furniture or falling down stairs. Additionally, it is able to detect and avoid rugs, which is a common problem with many robot vacuum/mop hybrids.

The robot has two huge tanks of water: one for clean water and another for dirty. It will automatically soak the pads in clean water in the tank prior to a mopping session. During the mopping process, sensors will alert you when it is time to change the pads and refill water. It consumes 16 ounces of water, which is less water than most robots.

The T10 will automatically dry the pads after you've cleaned them. This prevents cross-contamination. Then, it will resume mopping where it left off. This eliminates the need to wash your hands by hand this is great as it protects you from bacteria and allergens. This feature is exclusive to Narwal. The majority of robot vacuum/mop hybrids simply dip their mop heads in buckets of dirty sand.

Dual side brushes on the Freo allows it to be more effective at reaching corners than single brush vacuums. Its cliff-sensing, anticollision and anti-stuck functions also help it avoid getting stuck or hitting furniture.

While it's a great vacuum/mop combo, the Narwal T10 is pricier than the majority of its competitors. The Narwal T10's massive base station has two 1.3 gallon tanks that need to be refilled often. This can be frustrating, especially if you're used to the more efficient filling tanks of other robots. The application is also a mess and a hassle and doesn't have the same features of customization that you'd expect from more expensive robot.

App
